Sânzâienele şi ziua iei s-au sărbătorit în acest weekend în întreaga ţară. Printre toate aceste evenimente minunate s-a numărat şi cel organizat la magazinul Art&Craft din Băneasa Shopping City împreună cu Ţărăncuţa Urbană.
Am degustat dulciuri tradiţionale – nuci umplute şi cornuleţe, am făcut coroniţe din sânzâiene, am admirat o colecţie de ii, lucrate manuale, ii ce au avut şi o reducere de 25%, iar clienţii care au trecut pragul magazinului Art&Craft am primit câte o surpriză. Şi printre toate acestea am povestit, am depănat amintiri, într-un cuvânt ne-am distrat.
Dacă produsele Art&Craft se găseau numai în magazinul online și în magazinele din aeroporturi, de la sfârşitul lunii aprilie produsele se găsesc şi în magazinul Art&Craft deschis în Băneasa Shopping City în București, etaj 1.
Tradiţia spune că sânzienele, aceste adevărate preotese ale soarelui îşi au originea într-un străvechi cult solar. În credinţa populară, Sânzienele erau considerate a fi nişte femei frumoase, divinităţi nocturne care plutesc în aer sau umblă pe pământ în noaptea de 23 spre 24 iunie, cântă şi dansează, fac să rodească ogoarele, înmulţesc animalele şi păsările, lecuiesc bolile şi suferinţele oamenilor. În noaptea când se deschid cerurile, fetele strâng flori de Sânziene şi le pun sub pernă pentru a-şi visa ursitul. În unele zone fetele îşi făceau coroniţe din Sânziene pe care le lăsau peste noapte în grădini sau în locuri curate.
Sărbătoarea Sânzienelor marchează mijlocul verii şi este considerat cel mai bun moment pentru culegerea plantelor de leac. De Sânziene au loc bâlciuri şi iarmaroace. În trecut, acestea erau un bun prilej pentru întâlnirea tinerilor în vederea căsătoriei.
Sărbătoarea din 24 iunie mai este cunoscută în popor şi sub numele de Drăgaica. Biserica Ortodoxă face pomenirea Naşterii Sfântului Ioan Botezătorul.
Pe 24 iunie, o altă sărbătoare importantă, este de câţiva ani încoace, mai precis de 6 ani, Ziua internaţională a Iei.
Fără doar și poate, cel mai frumos omagiu pe care îl putem aduce iei este aceea de a o purta cu mândrie, oricând dorim, oricând simţim, nu doar de ziua ei, pe 24 iunie. Ia este un simbol al dorului de românesc care ne fascinează prin broderiile sale și prin autenticitatea lucrului simplu, făcut din iubire.
