A început numărătoarea inversă pentru festivalul Săptămâna Haferland!

Când noroc e să fie de partea ta, păi să știi că așa este. La începutul lunii, așa cum v-am povestit am fost într-un info trip în câteva sate săsești – Criț, Saschiz și Mesendorf. Încă din capul locului vă spuneam că m-aș întoarce oricând în zonă. Așa că mă întorc la Criț, fix în Săptămâna Haferland, cel mai mare eveniment local dedicat promovării zonei săsești din Transilvania.

Cea de-a șasea ediție se va desfășura în perioada 2-6 august 2018, va include localitățile Archita, Roadeș, Saschiz, Homorod, Rupea, Criț, Meșendorf, Cloașterf, Bunești și Viscri și are ca slogan ”Festival cu meșteșug, săsesc”.

Săptămâna Haferland așteaptă peste 6000 de turiști din România și din afara țării, cu activități cât mai interesante pentru toate vârstele: ateliere de meșteșuguri, activități pentru copii, concerte de jazz și de muzică clasică în bisericile fortificate, proiecții de film, spectacol de teatru, plimbări cu bicicleta, expoziții muzică și dansuri, brunch-uri cu preparate locale și deja celebrul bal săsesc.
Meșteșugurile și tradițiile din Haferland fac parte din istoria vie a României, iar participanții la festival vor putea lua parte la ateliere de tâmplărie, pielărie, sculptură, țesut, pictură pe mobilă, olărit, cojocărie și împletit cu pănuși.

Mai mult, participanții la festival vor putea lua parte la un concert cu totul special, pe 4 august, când vioara Stradivarius Elder-Voicu va ajunge în Haferland pentru un recital susținut de violonistul Alexandru Tomescu în Biserica Fortificată din Criț.

 

 

Un alt element inedit al ediției din acest an îl reprezintă expoziția de oldtimers BMW, susținută de Automobile Bavaria, astfel că, tot pe 4 august, la Criț, în ziua principală a festivalului, turiștii vor putea admira modelele BMW Isetta, BMW 1600-2 si BMW 2002 tii. Ediția din acest an a festivalului este organizată cu susținerea sponsorilor Rompetrol, Remarul 16 Februarie, Automobile Bavaria Group, MHS Truck & Bus Group, Selgros, Aqua Carpatica si Domeniile Sâmburești, Hochland, Mikim, Ursus, Bavaria Tour și Schaeffler Romania și a partenerilor Muzeul Astra Sibiu, Asociația Sașilor din Germania, Cantus Mundi, Colinele Transilvaniei, Icon Arts și Muzeul Satului Dimitrie Gusti din București. Evenimentul este cofinanțat de Consiliul Județean Brașov și de Ministerul Culturii și Identității Naționale.

Organizatorii evenimentului, Fundația Michael Schmidt susținută de Fundația Adept, Vecinătatea Femeilor din Saschiz, Primăria Saschiz, Fundația Mihai Eminescu Trust, Fundația Tabaluga și Asociația Nowero Rupea si Primăria Rupea și-au propus să promoveze nu doar satele săsești, ci și comunitatea și pe cei care duc mai departe tradițiile săsești în materie de olărit, brodat, pictat sau alte activități specifice zonei. Fundația Michael Schmidt are ca scop principal conservarea patrimoniului cultural săsesc, precum și dezvoltarea de proiecte educaționale pentru promovarea limbii germane în România. Printre proiectele implementate de fundație se numără: restaurarea orgii bisericii din Criț, finanțarea filmului Orgile din Transilvania, o întoarcere în timp, reconstruirea casei parohiale din Criț după planurile inițiale, redată circuitului turistic sub denumirea de Casa Kraus, editarea volumelor Povestea sașilor din Transilvania spusă chiar de ei și Criț, istoria, poveștile și viața unui sat de sași în limba română și germană, parteneriate culturale cu manifestări de renume precum Sonoro Conac și Festivalul Internațional de Teatru de la Sibiu.  Începând din 2017, fundația acordă o atenție specială copiilor din comunitățile în care își desfășoară activitatea prin înființarea unui program de sprijin educațional care este menit să prevină abandonul școlar și să susțină performanța pe termen lung.
