Galați, orașul cu aerul cel mai curat din România

Cel mai bun aer din România este în orașul Galați, potrivit unei statistici realizate de Agenția Europeană a Mediului. Orașul de pe malul Dunării se află pe locul 21 în clasamentul european. București este pe locul 302 din 375 de orașe incluse în statistică.

Potrivit Agenției Europene a Mediului, orașele sunt clasificate „de la cel mai curat la cel mai poluat pe baza nivelului mediu de particule fine din ultimii doi ani calendaristici”. 

Particulele fine sunt „poluanții atmosferici cu cel mai mare impact asupra sănătății în ceea ce privește decesele premature și bolile”, au explicat specialiștii agenției europene.

În clasament, orașul cu cel mai curat aer din România este Galați, locul 21. 

Următoarele orașe din România în care au fost făcute calcule privind poluarea aerului sunt Oradea, locul 146, și Sibiu, locul 157. În clasament mai apar orașele Constanța 232, Bacău 261, Botoșani 273, Buzău 274, Timișoara 281, Brașov 289, Cluj-Napoca 291, Suceava 296, Satu Mare 301, Arad 308, Baia Mare 313, Ploiești 327, Piatra Neamț 329, Tg.Mureș 330 și Iași 340.

Capitala României este pe locul 302, având un indice de poluare de 15,7, dublu în comparație cu orașul Galați (indice 7,2). Cel mai prost aer din România este în orașul Iași care se află pe locul 340.

Pe locul 375, ultimul în clasamentul întocmit de Agenția Europeană a Mediului, este orașul Slavonski Brod din Croația. 

Cel mai curat aer din Europa este în orașele Faro, din Portugalia, și Umea și Uppsala, ambele din Suedia.
